Hillsborough anniversary, 35 years

Today is the 35th anniversary of the deaths at the FA Cup semi final between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool.

Thoughts for those who lost loved ones, and those who were witnesses and feel pain for not being able to help anyone on the day.

💐

I am moved to tears whenever I see the picture of all those faces. They never came home. Such a huge, huge tragedy. RIP.

I can't believe I forgot it was today. 2 of my brothers were there, thankfully they both came home in one piece.
My thoughts are with all the families.

We need to remember. Thanks for the post

Has anyone ever been convicted of anything relating to Hillsborough? The events and the cover-up? I can't find a single actual conviction (and still looking).

It must be so emotional for you @Redshoeblueshoe

I can't help but think of it sometimes whenever DP or any family members go to a match. Such a normal Saturday afternoon thing to do. Heartbreaking.

No. No convictions.

CheapThrillsMeanNothing · 15/04/2024 18:23

RIP
It's such a disgrace that nobody was convicted over the competence and corruption behind the tragedy and the response to it for so many years.
