Hi all,

Wanted to give an update of what happened this morning with TW (tightwad)

I had a very quiet week in work last week, and booked some leave as was getting over a viral infection. This morning I was in a teams meeting with about 15 other staff members from various depts and who was there, none other than TW.

Someone commented to me “I hope you’re feeling better now payforyourowndinner, I heard you were unwell last week”

Before I could say anything TW pops up “I hope it wasn’t food poisoning” 😂 it did make me laugh I’ll admit, but I had to get the last word in, because I’m petty these days, so I said “oh from our meal
out? No, viral infection. But that was a lovely team meal wasn’t it, we’re looking forward to going again. Very reasonably priced”. I had two smirks and a teams message of a laughing face from two fellas I work with and TW said nothing, just made the face again. Oh that face.
Not an amazing update, but wanted to tell you all. TW is still festering after having to pay for his own dinner

He’s not over it and I don’t think he ever will be 🥴

Bloody hell. So he's not even got the self awareness to keep quiet and hope everyone forgets about the incident!

@NisekoWhistler yes I’m following it and I love it! I do love karma stories. I spent most of my time in bed watching road karma videos on Facebook 😂

@catsgrass late 50s I’d say. He has worked in the dept for a long time, and this is definitely his last job before he retires.

I feel like I’m ready for anything now though, any comments or snide remarks. Bring it on!

Do you think the other teams will stop splitting bills as well? You may have well and truly derailed his gravy train - and good for you.

On a similar note, I was once on a group holiday with some friends and friends of friends. We ordered seafood at a pub, collectively. A guy who had been quite patronising to me, and was very keen on himself, grabbed the only oyster and said "Mind if I take this?" without actually waiting. He just assumed that he would take it because he was somehow deserving.

I kid you not, he got food poisoning that afternoon. I'll admit that I laughed 😊
