I want a baby

I can't have one. We have two children. We agreed we would be done after two. DH had the snip. They have their own bedrooms, youngest is three, eldest (5) is being assessed for autism. Life is starting to get a bit easier. I found the baby sleeplessness really hard and our marriage really went through it.

But oh goodness this weekend, it's hit me like a wall. I so so want a baby.

No point to this thread. Just to get it off my chest really.

That sounds hard. I don’t think it’s that uncommon either. Do you know anyone who’s got one you could have a cuddle with?

My friend is due in six weeks so there is a chance there!

Broodiness is very, very common in peri-menopause, and it can be quite extreme before it fades away. Perhaps that might be a factor?

I agree, this is very common. And irrational, but knowing that doesn't help, does it. x

I want a baby but I'm alone and getting too old. I never imagined I wouldn't be a Mum but it didn't work out for me, it breaks my heart.
