Is weekday/ every weekend an even split?

I know the care of the child come first so that’s a given but just interested to see what the people think.

Say if child care is split weekday (Sun night to Thurs night) and every weekend (Fri to Sun night).

Would you consider this even logistically where the child was in nursery/ school for a large part of the weekdays.

To me it seems more of a 1/3 split between everyone. No agenda or reasons just was thinking about it and wondered what everyone else thought?

One parent hardly seeing the child, having the stress of timings etc. .. while the other gets the relaxed, fun time, but more actual hands on stuff?

Its not fair on anyone really.

Not even nearly fair!

One parent does the school slog (arguments about having to get up, washing uniform, packing lunches, all the school runs, early nights, tired evenings...)

The other parent gets ALL of the free days?!

FFS...

Why would you assume the weekend would be relaxed and not filled to the brim with activities, clubs, shuttling, seeing grandparents, tantrums and a lot of expenses. What kind of weekends are you people enjoying 😩 I’d rather do breakfast and then dinner and bed

If you want 50:50 surely you need handover on Wednesday and Sat eve/Sun morning?

Because all of these things are optional. School is not.

Weekend time feels like "quality time", at the weekend I get to be fun mum who pushes the swings and plays, during the week I'm bossy mum, nagging to do homework and go to bed.

Doesn't seem fair to me
