Toning fat legs.

I'm at the gym doing 30 to 40 mins of hit 3 to 4 times a week. Diet could have less fat and sugar but it's not awful. However my legs have gone awful. Thighs rubbing. Pudgy and generally unattractive. How can i sort them??

you literally say in your first post that your diet could b better

you can’t ‘tone’ legs. Toning isn’t a thing.

you need to lose fat so you can see your gains from the gym

but fwiw I don’t think you have ‘fat legs’. You are short so a bit stockier. But if you are not happy with this the only way around this is sorting out your diet and fat loss. You can’t exercise your way to what you want

The only way to 'tone' (if you're fit from all that exercise - which you must be!) is to lose the weight. Which means your diet.

I think your legs are fine!

I think your legs look great.

I assume by 'toned' you mean you want them to look slimmer? As others have pointed out, that can only happen through weight loss and diet really.

I do loads of exercise too and have big old tree trunks for legs because I'm overweight. No amount of exercise is going to slim them down, I need to eat less to achieve that.

Have you tried the stepper machine at the gym? I use it for 40 mins 3-4 times a week and it's really helped tone my thighs and bum. I stopped for a while and could tell the difference in how my jeans fit.

PaminaMozart · 15/04/2024 11:06

I think you could use this time more effectively by doing some weight training instead of so much stepping, @BeckyWithTheGoodBear .

A pair of somewhat challenging dumbbells plus Caroline Girvan - life-changing!

Change your headspace not your legs

HummingbirdChandelier · 15/04/2024 12:21

I think this is in your mind. Your legs are not fat.

Oh come on. 🤨

I’m 5’3 too and a similar weight. It’s below average for a British female. there’s nothing wrong with being short.

it is very unlikely at (our) height that we are going to have a pair of supermodel pins unless you have an uncharacteristically long inseam and very low body fat.

if you aren’t happy with them, fat loss is where to begin.

but it’s not needed, you don’t have ‘fat’ legs. They just aren’t skinny. They look strong, toned and healthy.

Spinning. Your legs look fine OP.
