Chris and Eve vloggers quit?

Limonjelly · 14/04/2024 18:11

I used to follow a YouTube couple, Chris and Eve, they seemed quite nice and had 2 cats they vlogged about a lot, and more recently had 2 kids. I think they had a reasonable following.

I wanted to find out what company cat-proofed their garden, but I can't find their YT channel or Insta any more? The accounts are both unavailable. Just wondered if anyone knew if they've decided to quit vlogging? Thinking about it, I hadn't seen any videos by them come up for ages. (And in the meantime if anyone can recommend good cat-proofing companies in Surrey or Berkshire area, I'd be grateful!)

I have no idea who these people are, but the information on this thread alone was enough to find their home address with one Google. Given how terrifying that is, I'm not surprised if they've chosen to remove all footage/pics/details of their children's lives from the internet.

It’s their old address if it’s the companies house one? But agree, so scary how much information about them is online that they’ve just willingly put out there.

They should teach personal infosec at secondary school.

@AppleBomb what is your issue? First of all you lie that there is something in the Brighton news about Chris and Eve. Now what are you implying about George and Lucy?
No wonder people delete themselves from social media.

Quite, not sure what @AppleBomb is trying to achieve with their gnomic utterances.

KeenGreySloth · 11/05/2024 10:47

Have followed Chris and Eve since I got my own British Shorthair cat about the same time they got theirs. I don’t think I missed an episode of their vlogs. It seems to me they have taken back their privacy. A short message to say that would have limited the speculation. Or maybe they have just been hacked.

whatever has happened I wish them well and thank them for sharing.

What did it say?

@DarkDarkNight every time I try to register with Tattle I need a code and I don't know anyone on it. Do you have one?

@goldenretrievermum5 Only 25 years experience thank you very much! 😂

@AppleBomb I'm not confusing anything.... She was a first officer for TUI

This photo you've included here has now disappeared off the internet. It was there for a while, I saw it. Now it's gone. This mystery is getting stranger and stranger

You've posted that three times now. Strong baby reindeer vibes. Maybe stop.

Whilst this thread has me weirdly invested in a couple Id never heard of until 20 minutes ago, it also highlights how some people seem to have no boundaries when it comes to how much of someone’s life they should have access to. It’s somewhat alarming.

Yes same. The poster who keeps suggesting they bombard the couples friends with messages is just plain weird.

No! Let us please not email or message strangers who do not want it.

I feel bad enough that I am intrigued by this thread. Imagine if one of them read it. We are speculating about the real life of human beings. They are not fictional characters. We are not a team of podcast detectives.

As in real life, when someone asks to be left alone a normal and decent person backs off and leaves them alone. I do understand the urge to solve a mystery, that’s why I am here. But, they have decided that their lives shouldn’t be entertainment at the moment. If you want to ignore that then you should start investigating yourself.

But it's such an excellent idea. If I was close friends with a couple who suddenly wiped all their online presence I would be delighted to be bombarded with emails from strangers wanting to know what's happened, and would immediately write back to each and every one.

Ankylo · 15/05/2024 07:32

@Zonder 😆

acrossthebeach · 15/05/2024 07:44

Ffs, I'd never heard of these people and now I care about what's happening.

NerrSnerr · 15/05/2024 07:50

@Zaqi If Chris and Eve wanted to tell their followers why they've stopped doing their online stuff they would have said. I know it's interesting to know (I'm another who hadn't heard of them before this thread but got intrigued) but it's none of our business. Even if your whole life is in the public eye you can still choose when to pull back and not share your life.

Just let them be.

think the Omaze one was a joke! The others are verging on stalker behaviour though...

This thread is a good example to use (say to teens) about digital footprints and the value of personal information security.

Emmaprimrose · 17/05/2024 23:53

The cat safe company was - something like ‘pet sure’ I think but they too have a utube channel.. regarding Chris & Eve I think they have been hacked unfortunately.. when I went to view there account it came up in Latvian message .. I know this as I use a translation app on my iPhone.
I must be very distressing and overwhelming for them both I hope they can get it resolved quickly. I think what we should do if possible is try and publicly express and share our concerns and thoughts to them as much as possible, keep it positive energy . As I’m sure our support will get back to them , I am sure they are working hard to make things right, but maybe for legal reasons not able to tell us what is going on.
