Quiet Trade Jobs

If you are in a trade or family member are they particularly quiet the now? My husband is a joiner but fits kitchens for a couple of franchises of a company but things are extremely quiet the now . We usually expect this in January but always picks up the month after until usually just before Christmas but it is worrying me they are not very busy just now. I do have savings for this short fall as he is self employed and of course no work equals no earnings but was just wondering if it is quiet everywhere with trades just now?

Not in trades ourselves but at the moment we're using a few; a carpenter, electrician, glazier, etc.

We have had no trouble in getting then to come round quickly to give quotes and then do the work. It's all happened more quickly than my previous experiences.

So maybe things are quieter than usual?

I hope things pick up soon for your husband.

Maybe area specific? We’ve just booked in for a new bathroom and we can’t start until late summer and there are 12 people ahead of us. We’re in the north of Scotland though.
