Johannes from Strictly is starring in it next year. I love him anyway but wondered what the songs are like?

It's good! I saw it in the West End seven years ago (I remember as I was nine months pregnant and my waters broke the following day!).

It's more about the dancing than the singing imo. There is one dance where the lead did a backflip while wearing the boots and it was amazing. I think Cyndi Lauper did the music but it's not very memorable, though enjoyable!

I have seen it three times and love it. It’s got a really uplifting finale that if you don’t come away smiling then there is something wrong. Some songs are a bit repetitive but that’s part of the joke

However I really don’t see Johannes in this role at all. Maybe I will be surprised and he is both a great singer and can show both sass and vulnerability that Lola has. Will wait to see reviews before booking

I’ve seen a recording of it on the telly. It was available during covid. I loved it.
If you like musicals I think you'll like it.
The songs will be on you tube if you look I reckon.

I really enjoyed it.

I couldn't tell you any of the songs now, so it's not a massively memorable one, but really enjoyed it at the time.

Ah yes that reminds me, OP it should still be on Sky Arts catch up if you have it. Was definitely there a few weeks ago
