Vinted issue

Hi all. I bought an item of clothing on Vinted listed just as a size 12 in good condition, with one photo. It arrived today and it’s actually a size 12 petite, so nowhere near long enough for me to wear. As it wasn’t listed as petite, would you say there’s an issue or, as it’s a low value item, just write it off?

I would just write it off as bad luck - it should have been in the description since it’s not a size option but I couldn’t make a fuss about it, just relist it. Mention in your feedback so they are aware for future.

I bought trousers for my son which were described as having “no obvious stains or signs of wear” but the knees were grass stained (obviously not shown in pics). I should have complained but couldn’t be bothered with the hassle for the £5 I spent.

Id write it in the comments but just relist it

This happened to me but as it was low value I didn’t bother complaining And just re-listed the item with correct measurements (I sold it on for more than I paid so it worked out well)

you can leave neutral/negative feedback stating it was the wrong size so other buyers are aware to check the labels before buying.

Thanks. Given how little it cost, it probably isn’t worth actually doing anything about it. It’s just frustrating than instead of having the item I wanted, I now have another job to do.

Even if you raised an issue it wouldn’t be worth it. I had an item of kids clothing arrive that was a whole size smaller than stated and useless to me but Vinted still asked me to pay the return postage which wouldn’t be worth it for a low value item.

I see this a lot on vinted when looking for stuff for my son he is in men's but sometimes they advertise the item as men's but it's actually boys I don't know why people do it but luckily spotted it so haven't bought any by mistake but I imagine it's a common problem. I only buy cheap stuff so I would just write it
off personally as you have to pay to return

I’ve just bought a top which was listed as medium. But is actually a small. There is a photo of the label which shows it as small so my mistake. But still frustrating. Like PPs have decided to suck it up.

this has happened to me. the seller is totally in the wrong here, raise an issue with vinted and ask for a return at her cost. I can't believe people are telling you not to do anything.

Agree that as low value maybe write off but I'd leave 3, maybe 4 stars and factually state reason in feedback.

I'm extremely specific in all my listings with size as with Petite it's not just smaller but the proportions can be very different. I'd not want to mislead a buyer.

As an aside this is what puts me off buying there - it's all very well write off low value/u suitable purchases but they soon start to add up with fees and postage added. Which is why as a seller,,regardless of price you have to be completely transparent
