I'm trying to remember a book, that I must've read in the 90s, but it could obviously have been published long before that.
It had a bit of an Enid Blyton feel to it, I think, but may not have been one of hers. Very old fashioned/wholesome type book.
I remember it was about a kennels, (or an animal rescue shelter perhaps), and had children in it (not James Herriot). I think there is a grey dog that the kids get really attached to?! A terrier?!
That's all I've got... but I remember loving it, and I think my daughter would love it now, but I cannot find it through searching (because obviously I've not got a lot to go on!).
If anyone has any clue, I'd be so grateful 🙏
