We have the first sunny day in what seems like decades here in Cornwall & I have actually managed to hang out a load of washing! Surrounded by the pegs that all fell out of the disintegrated bag in the recent storm. Most are ok. Just about to start prepping veg for an Asda magazine stew. DD15 is at her GF’s until tomorrow evening so I’m enjoying the peace! Working tomorrow. If this weather lasts, might go for a walk. Bought some delicious looking stir fry mix from the butchers including steak, sweet peppers, baby corn, courgettes & hoisin sauce. Much cheaper than the Chinese! Will just add button mushrooms & fresh egg noodles for Sat tea. DD will do her own thing. Sunday DH wants to go to an out of town shopping centre for jeans & chinos. I have some money left on a Next voucher. Supposed to be having a pork crackling joint but will see if I can be bothered! May end up getting something yummy from M & S. How about you guys?

Today I’ve been fortunate to spend the day at a spa where I am a member, there’s an outdoor jacuzzi and I had lunch outside.
This evening I am going to watch the Amy Winehouse film.
Tomorrow is a costal walk and lunch out. On Sunday my eldest DC is coming over for brunch and then I’m going to watch Civil War and visit my parent in their nursing home.

It’s still Easter break here so we have been away Monday to Friday, DH is currently driving us home and the car chat is what type of takeaway we will get on the way home - currently 2 votes for Thai and 2 votes for Indian, the napping teenager has the deciding vote (in team Thai).

Supermarket delivery due in the morning and a mountain of laundry to do. Family birthday party tomorrow night so will need to feed everyone relatively early too.

Sunday was supposed to be a quiet day but friends have just asked if we fancy a pub roast and a catch up so that’s the plan now.

Diet starts Monday!!!

It stopped raining! I’ve loved having all the windows open and sun streaming in today. DH is out with some friends this evening and I have a lovely bottle of wine chilling in the fridge. DS is driving me round the bend after quite a stressful day of work so I’m looking forward to getting him to bed.

Tomorrow we’re catching up with a friend who we haven’t seen in a while but we don’t have much of a plan yet. Hopefully we’ll do a roast on Sunday as DH makes such a good one and I really fancy it. We’ll also be getting DS back into a bit of a routine so he’s ready to go back to school. It’s generally a pretty chilled one, but I’ve been unwell for a few weeks so I’m keen to take it easy as I get better.
