Any medics/clever people-whats your immune system doing when you feel like this?

I feel shocking-aching all over, my skin hurts, my bones are cold, I've been infront of the fire for an hour and I've still got goosebumps.

What are my innards doing?

Are you shivering?

My husband has this when he had a UTI and the doctor said that the infection had gone to his kidneys.

Not shivering but goosebumps all over. My temp is now 38.5 (oral).

Not a medic but it's my understanding that your body is firing white blood cells and such all over to fight whatever infection is going on which increases inflammation and makes you feel rubbish.

I do think you'd benefit from speaking to an actual medic to find out the cause - not to worry you but some of those symptoms are the same as sepsis 😕

Trying to deal with the Covid/Flu virus you've picked up, perhaps?

Holymotherforkingshirtballs · 12/04/2024 18:07

Sounds like flu

I have had something similar since Tuesday night. My arms and legs ache and muscles feel bruised. I have sharp shooting pains in my head and like neuralgia on my face. I can’t touch my face at all. Terrible fatigue. A bit of sneezing and green mucus but not like a cold. I think it may be flu but I had a vaccination last September. I hope you feel better soon

Thank-you all. I feel like my body's regulated itself-temp has come down and the cold/goosebumps have stopped. Going to go to bed and try to sleep while I'm feeling OK. See what the night brings!
