Has anyone used Trusted House Sitter site for someone to look after their pets? How does it work, is someone effectively using your house and feeding your pet while you are away? Are you expected to provide bedding etc, do they expect a holiday home in return. I'm looking st this to avoid overloading my neghbour too much with cat sitting requests but it's quite a lot to sign up for year so would be good to hear people's experiences and how it works.

I've used them several times and had excellent experiences. Yes you are expected to provide bedding, towels etc and to leave them a clean and tidy home. Like most things where there is an element of trust involved I think it is important to help facilitate a good experience for the house sitter and in return they will take excellent care of your pets and home. We have always returned to a sparkling home, happy pets plus milk and bread in the fridge. Highly recommended!

Thank you. Need to think on. We're lucky in that we have a decent size house but with kids I don't know if the pressure to clean and tidy will make it not worth it. I mean our house isn't awful but just busy and I think maybe stress of having people stay and judge it may be a bit much.
