Partly inspired by the weird 80s childhood thread. But when i was a child in the 80s one of my aunts gave me a book with special pages where you could insert stamps you'd collected. I spent hours soaking stamps off envelopes, drying them and lining them up neatly in my book. Then i became a teenager, discovered boys and the albums full of stamps went into the attic.
But I've just had a thought. Hardly anyone sends letters anymore, and i can imagine the lure of netflix is more temping as entertainment than arranging stamps for kids nowadays.
I can't imagine that stamp collecting is a growing hobby in society. Do you think it will die out?
