I can’t take my manager seriously

I’m going to preface by saying she’s a good manager, I like her, this isn’t about her professionalism

But she has the most ridiculous blown up drag queen lips, they look like two shiny sausages having an allergic reaction. Coupled with the crusty fake eyelashes everytime she’s talking to me I either can’t look away and feel I’m being really obvious about it or actively look anywhere but at her lips/lashes I think she’s going to notice anyway. It’s particularly difficult when she’s trying to deliver a important message or set targets to take her seriously because she looks so ridiculous

I need tips (yes I should be a nicer person)

Sometimes people overdo their appearance because they have low self esteem. If she is a good manager then you are just going to have to look past her appearance and try to remain straight faced when she speaks etc. Maybe you could focus on another part of her face when she talks e.g. the gap between her eyes?

Maybe she struggles with your blandness? Not nice is it? Says way more about you than it does about them - horrible post.
