Is the amount of duty levied on spirits the same, regardless of alcoholic strength ? In the UK at least we can buy, for example, vodka at 37.5%, whisky at 40% and gin at 43%. My guess is higher duty for stronger stuff but I'd be interested to know the reality. Thankyou.
