Hi we are remortgaging and this has been raised have googled as never heard of the phrase before but am still none the wiser after googling how this would be flagged for us remortgaging, has this happened to anyone else and been a formality rather than anything to worry about? Thank you

It happened to me twice at a building society. Has never happened before & I've been this name for nearly 40 years.Once doing POA for my mum & once opening an account, same provider.
I had to produce additional Id & the branch had to phone head office for acceptance I wasn't the same person that the system had flagged up. It took about an extra 15 mins & was both annoying & unsettling.
It's only happened at the one building society & I opened an account at a different one a few days later with no problem.
