Bed bugs

I've had little red spots all over my hands and arms for the last week. A friend thinks it might be bedbugs. Does anyone know how to get rid of these bedbugs, preferably something fast acting. Also what's good to rub on the bites? I've tried Sudocrem but that doesn't work.

Is it little red spots or little red bites?

We had bedbugs in a rented flat about 10 years ago. Check your mattresses for any specs of blood, have you seen any bugs? They look like apple pips

If it is bedbugs they can be hard to get rid of, wash everything on highest setting and get a pest control person out.

We never actually managed to get rid of the bedbugs as they were in the wooded floors but we had a break clause in our rental after 6 months and we're out of there as fast as we could!

Do the bites itch?

most likely bed bugs. I would recommend a uv lamp , use it about 3 days , twice a day, itll kill the bugs.

And you don't have marks on your body? Doesn't sound typical of bed bugs. Can you post a picture of the marks?

Hi thanks for your replies. The red spots aren't itchy at all. I showed them to my G.P. earlier and he thought either bed bugs or an allergic reaction to something. I've used absolutely nothing different over the last few weeks either internally or externally so can't really think of anything that might have caused an allergy.

Here are some photos.

Last October there was something biting my son. Used spray bombs, washed all bedding on 90' but it didn't stop. Paid £300 for pest control and after the second visit the biting stopped and we found 1 dead bedbug.

Two weeks ago a bug of some sort crawled onto my lap on the tube. I flicked it off very fast - wished I had taken a closer look or a photo to see if it was a bedbug!

If the spots are not itchy hopefully it is not a bedbug. DS was very itchy when he was being bitten and he only got bitten at night.

I thought bedbugs left a line of bites rather than random spots. Look all round the seams of your mattress for signs of them. I don’t think bedbugs.

I'm just thinking, I will soon be undergoing a medical procedure and the doctor recently advised me to start taking high dose vitamin D3 (8,000 iu to 12,000 iu) and vitamin E (1,000 iu twice a day). Would either of these cause a rash like I have? I stopped both vitamins a few days ago.

That looks like an allergic reaction to something rather than bites.
Try some antihistamine tablets and there is a cream called Eurax which I find good.
