Safe space for moaners thread!

cliovillee · 09/04/2024 13:22

Inspired by another thread where posters keep getting told not to complain, whinging won't help, other people have it worse etc.....I thought it might be nice to create a safe space for moaners where we can whinge to our heart's content, about anything, big or small, without being told XYZ has it worse or whatever.

Today I want to moan about:

  1. the fact I'm trying to get my bank to do something relatively simple and yet they seem to operate in some kind of alternate reality where everything is needlessly complicated and requires 10 different phone calls to 10 different people;
  2. the shit weather;
  3. the fact I am 22 weeks pregnant and still have nausea and a horrible taste in my mouth.

  1. I'm skint.
  2. This fucking wind/rain won't stop.
  3. I am trying to move house and solicitors are useless, not sure what they are getting paid for tbh.
  4. I'm tired, nope exhausted with everything.

I want to curl up in a ball somewhere warm and dark and stay there. I can't though because, see point 1, I have to work ☹️

cliovillee · 09/04/2024 13:31

Oh god we moved last year and I remember only too well the pain of dealing with solicitors. I had to hound them multiple times a day for weeks to get them to actually do anything useful.

I'm fat

The weather is shit

I am really behind at work owing to my own procrastination and inefficiency

The weather

No one wants to buy our house, despite the agents waxing lyrical over it. And yes, I know everyone will say it’s the price, but it’s the price 4 agents recommended. We want to downsize and we’d be less skint.

Our buyer loved the house....not sure if it is them picking it apart now or their solicitors.
They make it sound like it's about to fall down, they want indemnities against everything, a certificate for every job done to it for the last 20years etc.
It's honestly doing my head in!

If its indemnities it'll be the Solicitors, ours were insistent we had them for everything. If you can get hold of the buyers' details and communicate with them directly, it make everything faster.

I have no way of contacting the buyer unfortunately, she isn't local.
I'll just stay on this thread and moan about everything 🤣
The stress has triggered my IBS so I might need to moan about that too!

Ours wasn't either, I just asked the estate agent to see if she'd be willing to be put in touch with me and she was. It was the Solicitors playing silly buggers, she didn't even know what they were doing!

Another thing to moan about: the cat has been sick on my bed.

I don't want to play moaning top trumps but the dog has thrown up all over the carpet 🙄

My moan -

The absolutely bloody bollocking shite weather. Sick to fucking death of rain and mud.

Can't get to see my GP for love nor money. What a bloody farce. Ring up at 8am for an appointment - oops all gone for today, try tomorrow. For THREE FUCKING WEEKS NOW.

FiveLamps · 09/04/2024 17:54

I'm 49 and on my 3rd period in 6 weeks. With a headache, tummy ache and bad mood to go with it.

Feeling very sorry for myself.

Plus I really don't want to take it out on my DH when he gets home, he's so lovely and it's obviously not his fault!

shellyleppard · 09/04/2024 17:57

Fivelamps sending virtual gentle hugs/gin and chocolate 🍫 x

DatingDinosaur · 09/04/2024 17:58

@FiveLamps that really needs to be more rant-y than that if you're perimenopausal. Let rip. Unleash the Meno Rage.

Then have a good cry Grin

shellyleppard · 09/04/2024 17:59

I thought I was having a bad day but virtual hug to you all x
I've hurt my back trying to make my sons birthday cake and the candle's have broken so plan b for tomorrow

RichinVitaminR · 09/04/2024 18:03

Stressed about maternity leave finishing soon

I'm also fat

Baby has started on separation anxiety early so I feel very claustrophobic at the moment (love her to pieces but we all need time to get stuff done!!!) and also stressed about that combined with going back to work soon

🙃🙃🙃

Fannyfiggs · 09/04/2024 18:03

DH moaning about me forgetting to put a sweetener in his tea.

My reply: Make your own fucking tea or put your own fucking sweetener in your fucking tea without moaning.

Yes I'm fucking perimenopausal and will run a sharp implement through you without a second thought. And get away with it...

Ahhhhhhhhhh

Edited to say, that's me on HRT 😂

Muchtoomuchtodo · 09/04/2024 21:35

This wet and windy weather - it’s been going in for too long now.

the mud from ds’s rugby training thanks to the above

point 1 has kept me awake far too often recently so I’m tired and grumpy.

i joined a gym 2 months ago , have cut out school night drinking and have failed to lose even a single lb.
