Posted here for traffic.

I came on my period last Saturday (30th) I was around one week early. I'm still having spotting with brown discharge (sorry for the TMI).

I'm 37 and periods have always been 28ish days.

I've now spiralled with worrying and anxiety as I'm 6months late on my smear. (It's now booked for Thursday) Last one had no abnormal cells but HPV.

Has anyone been through anything similar?

I have had 2x ectopics, one treated with medical, 2nd was tube removal so I notice anything slightly out of balance Gynae wise from the stress of what I ent through.

I have been ill with flu recently and not exercised for 2weeks but I don't think that's enough to throw me into hormonal imbalance.

Is there any chance you could be pregnant? That would be my first guess. Otherwise, I'd just class it as a weird period.

I was always super on time. And then I had a weird period (probably around 35) that lasted for 6 weeks. Literally medium ish flow for several weeks, followed by a couple weeks of spotting. Was referred to gyn as have had an abnormal smear in my 20s.

No obvious cause. They did a colposcopy, which was normal. Obviously, your period comes from your uterus, not your cervix, so wouldn't be impacted by any cervical issues, though of course, your cervix can bleed too. I never had any other bleeding issues after (obviously, now I'm peri so periods are weird). HPV/smears have been normal since. It's very likely just one of those odd cycles.

Just done an EPT.
Negative.

I wouldn't be worried so much if it wasnt for the niggling pains.
