I can't find another thread on this topic, apologies if I am duplicating!

Anyone else following the Queer Eye drama?

1. Tan France comes across as such a horrible little weasel in his Instagram post about Bobby Berk being replaced by his friend. Referring to Bobby as his "former colleague" and saying that Bobby was fired from QE, which doesn't seem to be the case at all. I have subsequently read more about Tan and his opinion on buying babies and breastfeeding, and now all the pieces are coming together. He seems vile!
2. I will not be even remotely shocked if the reports about JVN being a monster turn out to be true. I don't understand why anyone is so shocked by the allegations to be honest. He has always seemed a bit unhinged and like he could have a totally different side to him.
3. I love Bobby and hope great things happen for him after QE. He worked so damn hard on that show. And has such an awful start in life too. The work involved in the renovation piece was absolutely insane (I know he had a team, but still) and the effort he put in vs the one who has a chat, the one who makes a sandwich, the one who does a bit of hair and makeup, and the one who goes shopping... I mean c'mon.

Ooooh, no. I wasn’t aware of this at all. I wondered why the last season was so short. I’m off to instagram now.

My DH mentioned this to me earlier but I don’t know all the details. Bobby has always been the one to do the bulk of the work vs Antoni making 1 dish, Tan’s clothes, JVN haircut and a chat from Karamo..

not familiar with Tan’s thoughts on buying babies and BFing. I’ll look it up, I’m guessing he used a surrogate…

Oh no that's a shame I didn't know this. Part of the appeal for me was how supportive and emotionally literate they all were !

Do let me know what you make of it all. I am intrigued. I don't usually read celebrity gossip, but the JVN article got me interested and then found out the rest reading other articles.

There are lots of threads on here about Tan on surrogacy/breastfeeding. He posted a thinly veiled formula add during World Breastfeeding Week, a few days after their baby was born (IIRC) that was totally tone deaf. I don't know exactly how I feel about surrogacy myself, it's a difficult issue. But something about Tan's posts on the subject make me feel a bit uncomfortable. Using a woman like a vessel, without any consideration of the consequences to the woman herself springs to mind...

I used to be a huge JVN fan but he has already disappointed me somewhat with the views he gives on unintended pregnancy in his autobiography.

He's unhinged and almost unwatchable on the show he's so needy and attention seeking
