How can I say Love You without it meaning more than it does?

I've had something of a crisis today and a male friend has just sent a really supportive message that has made a real difference. Just hit exactly the right tone.

My imeadiate response was to reply "this is why I love you", but we are just friends and I don't want him to think I've gone all weird on him.
