How to socialise with boys?

DD (13y) is now in an only-girls school and misses having male friends. She is an only child, her cousins live in another country, and we don't have friends with boys at her age.

Any ideas on how could I help her to socialise with boys, and hopefully make friends?

Would she enjoying Scouts?

Hobbies are good, at my DDs single-sex schools cadets were a popular option to get to hang out with boys? Or a mixed sport, maybe martial arts? Drama/music can be a bit girl-dominated once they're teens but there will be some boys depending on which group she chooses. Or volunteering, something like the St Johns ambulance (she might need to be a bit older, but for the future)?
