Loo roll subscriptions

Do you use one? I'm sick of running out and Costco is too far. Just set one up for 96 rolls every 8 weeks.
We have two loos and 6 almost adults (trying to make them leave..) and the amount of loo roll and kitchen towel they get through is ridiculous. It gets used for cleaning hands, surfaces, etc etc and they ignore the hand towels and cleaning clothes as 'they are dirty'.
It gets dropped and binned/dropped in the bath etc etc.
So I'm guessing two rolls a day.

What do you do/who do you use?

They address that here but yes it's a make up your own mind situation

You can order loo roll from Costco online. That's what we did during the pandemic

OneFrenchEgg · 08/04/2024 07:21

Oh I didnt realise Costco was online. Maybe I should look at other , also didn't realise Amazon.
Who gives a crap was more expensive and only did 48 roles maximum.

Honestly if they were being that careless with it I would hide some in the bedroom for my own use and let them run out until the message hit home.I know that's a bit petty but I'd be livid They're adults and need to do better. If they rinsed their hands properly after washing them the towels wouldn't get so dirty, and they could always go and get a clean towel out couldn't they it's not difficult.

OneFrenchEgg · 08/04/2024 07:36

@chattyness I agree completely but I am at the 'defeated' stage of having adult kids live at home.
They pay rent (the ones not in 6th form) which they think covers everything. I could share even more of the rubbish situation I've ended up in, but it's too depressing.
I'm basically a maid service for kids who refuse to tidy up because 'it's not their mess' leaving me to clean everyone's mess. I have told them to leave but unless I evict them it's an empty threat.
It's a whole different depressing story and I don't want to get into it as I know how it will go on here.

@OneFrenchEgg I'm so sorry they're treating you that way , yes I get it the inevitable MN pile on . I meant to say I buy our loo with my Tesco delivery and just get a 24 pack when needed. It cost around 6.99 usually but it's on a good offer at the moment at 4.99 https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/309787350 delivered free with my groceries I'mquite happy with it too, it's good quality

Chocolateroulade · 08/04/2024 08:00

I bought a box of who gives a crap as a one off as I had an Amazon voucher to use up and liked the packaging.

It was awful and you literally put your fingers through it every use. I got quite intimate with myself fairly frequently during the months it too to use up the box. Not even soft either.

I did message them to let them know how unhappy I was with it and I didn’t get a response.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 08/04/2024 08:11

I bulk buy from Rural Trading Box Roll as it's made in the UK.

CarrotPotatoRooster · 08/04/2024 08:13

I get mine from rural trading too. Every six months. Can't remember quantities.

Also, I stopped buying kitchen roll completely, so no choice but to use cloths!

MajorFaff · 08/04/2024 08:22

We get the Who Gives a Crap bamboo paper. I agree that their other stuff is awful (tried it at someone's house).

The rolls last twice as long as 'normal' loo rolls do which is amazing, so much less hassle.

I admit that I'm not the fussiest about tp softness but I think it's fine... certainly better than their other type which really was awful.

Such a shame a PP had a bad experience with their customer service. They've been super-helpful to me and refunded an additional box I bought in error (website glitch). I swear I have no connection to them other than as a happy customer!

OneFrenchEgg · 08/04/2024 08:38

Oh this is really useful, thank you. When I googled I got a couple of options but not some of these. I've gone bamboo rather than recycled, not sure if that's going to be a scratchy issue.
I am not organised enough to do a regular grocery delivery although I am now thinking I should be!
I'll look at the other options but I think Costco deliveries may end up costing me more in terms of fun additions.
Thanks @chattyness some things are just too complicated to unpick on a forum.

We have the who gives a crap bamboo. One box lasts us around 4/5 months (I have it set to deliver every 16 weeks but often push it 2-3 extra).

Sandysandwich · 08/04/2024 09:15

We stopped buying kitchen roll, if it's not there they will start using the cloths
