Help me with these headaches!

Hubby and I are on holiday in Wales. We come here all the time to this location at least once a year, and it's become a home from home.

This time we are just miserable because neither of us can shift our headaches. We are nt ill, just have this horrible head pressure no painkillers will shift. My pain moves around from left to right hubbies is staying on the top of his head. Sleep or changing position does nt do anything but being outside can help.

It's not the worst pain in the world but is starting to affect us wanting to go out and stopping us from doing things like reading. At first it was just me and I'm on day 4. Hubby is now on day 2. Spoke to a pharmacist who just gave us stronger pain meds.

The weather is pretty windy and stormy and we are in the hills about 700 feet up. Could this be an altitude or weather thing? Have never had anything like it before! Any tips to get rid? Neither of us usually suffer from headaches etc and would think it pretty odd for us to both have a migraine!

Are there carbon monoxide detectors....

NCForQuestions · 07/04/2024 19:04

Per the PP - carbon monoxide?

Do you feel better if you both leave the house for an hour? Pop to a pub or sit in the car for an hour and test it....

Hi both, thanks for responding.

There's no gas in the property at all, all electric. There are alarms.

It does feel better outside.

Carbon monoxide would be my first thought too. But if there's a working monitor and all's ok there then maybe covid?

MassiveOvaryaction · 07/04/2024 19:11

I type slow sorry Grin

Any other chemicals in the house that could be leaking? Open all the windows and doors for ten minutes and let the wind blow it all through and change the air. See what that does?

Turn the heating low if you have it on, heat may be making you feel worse. Could be a virus that's causing sinus pain.

Agree covid is possible, it gives me wicked headaches that don't respond to painkillers.

I'd suspect Covid or another virus, especially given the slightly staggered appearance of the headaches in you and your DH. When I had Covid, the headache was the worst symptom and nothing shifted it.
