Help finding joggers & jeans for tall teenage boy

Usually buy Nike/Adidas joggers for DS but he's grown and they're not long enough. Even tried the adult sizes but they're too short.

DS is 13, 6' tall with 35" inside leg and 30" waist. Does a lot of sport so lives in joggers (more the polyester type ones rather than the sweatshirt material).

Does anyone else have a tall skinny DS and can point me in the right direction? We spent a very long day touring the shops yesterday without any luck for joggers. Managed to get one pair of jeans but they are borderline long enough and I would usually have passed on them but he was so despondent my heart melted. I know in a couple of months they will be too short.

Looking for inspo here. My 13yr old is only 5ft6 so far but already I have replaced trousers twice since September as his legs dangle out the bottom. 6ft is looming on the horizon soon I'm sure.
His best fitting jeans have been Next skinny which he is in age 15-16 but even they are starting to swing. I don't know what comes next for that.

Joggers wise, I guess sports direct men's section? We have a nike and a puma outlet near so going to start there.

Thank goodness it'll be short weather soon.

Having the same problem. Seems ridiculous that the sports brands don't do different leg lengths. Not all men are the same height! Haven't found a solution I'm afraid.

BoohooWoohoo · 07/04/2024 12:18

Next men’s jeans extra long are a 35 inside leg. There’s no obvious branding if he’s conscious about labels.
Boohoo Men tall assumes that the wearer is 6 foot 4 iirc

River Island for jeans. You can buy buy waist and leg size. My ds was 28inch waist, 34 leg at one point.

BoohooWoohoo · 07/04/2024 12:19

Nike do a tall adult range that assumes a height of 6 foot +

SeaToSki · 07/04/2024 12:27

Lands End

(they have a UK site) do 30” waist and customizable leg length for jeans and everyday trousers. They fit my skinny 6’3” DS. Joggers are a whole world of pain, very few places make extra long ones

MissyB1 · 07/04/2024 12:31

Yes I have a skinny 15 year old who is 6ft tall. His jeans are from New Look mens, joggers from Hollister - they do an extra long option.

DuckDuckGoosieGander · 07/04/2024 14:14

@BoohooWoohoo thanks for this. I got giddy with excitement and jumped straight on the app. Unfortunately only one pair of small tall trousers/joggers and they were cropped!! They didn't have a medium or large tall so wondering if it's been discontinued.

@Pascha we've done the outlets this week and main Nike store but couldn't get anything long enough

Thanks all. I'm taking comfort that we're not alone but such a shame so many are missing out. Branded stuff isn't necessary but it's always been our easy go to as practical and easy to wash/dry.

We found one pair of jeans that he's kept and also Levi's but as he's still growing and they were £110 we left them until he's stopped!

I'm off to look at boohoo men next ...

@MissyB1 will also check out hollister too. Many thanks.

Nike amd adidas online do tall range but i can rarely find size small or medium. 6ft 14 year old here too.

Clambering · 07/04/2024 14:25

My DS (15) is the same size as yours & it is a challenge. We've found 35" leg on the M&S website (not in shops) and they do quite reasonable jeans & chino-type styles. I keep thinking it'll be easier when he grows more but of course his inside leg isn't going to reduce, no matter what his waist measurement ends up being!

craigth162 · 07/04/2024 14:32

Just found some on tradeinn.com. adidas on3s. Have used before with no issues

hennybeans · 07/04/2024 14:35

My ds , 16 and 6’2, wears adidas men’s joggers in tall. There are some on Amazon. I assume they sell them on adidas’ website as well. Nike also do tall but only seen them online. Well, I’ve only seen any tall range online actually. I wash them carefully and never tumble dry because that shrinks them.

DuckDuckGoosieGander · 07/04/2024 23:52

@craigth162 @Clambering @hennybeans thanks for the suggestions which I'll check out.

At the moment we've been okay with school trousers as I've been buying M&S extra long in their school wear range and then taken down the hem so they've fit in the length but think we've also maxed this out as far as we can.

My ds is 13 and 6ft 1". It's all mens clothes for him now. He's very particular about brand and what he wears.

He has a pair of slim fit jeans size 30W Long. For joggers he wears Nike Tech fleece in a men's size medium. They do ankle graze but with that style they're very forgiving and supposed to look like that. Because they are tapered they don't flap about round the ankles.

Summer is coming and shorts are much easier thankfully!

DuckDuckGoosieGander · 03/11/2024 00:00

Just following up on this chat and thanks for everyone's answers. I'm now in need of finding pyjamas for a 6'2 13 year old with a 35" inside leg. He has a couple of sleepovers in the next few weeks and all his pyjamas are halfway up his calf. Our go to lately has been boohoo men 6'4" range but they don't do pyjamas. I'd really appreciate any suggestions please. I've found some at £70 for pyjama bottoms but that's not in my price range or checked flannel pyjama bottoms which aren't typical of a 13 year old!

Our answer to PJs is just to get seperate jersey shorts and wear with a t-shirt.

isodontknow · 03/11/2024 04:38

I'm having this problem! I ended up buying DS slightly too large jeans to get the length. They sit quite low and are the right length so probably he needs a longer leg and narrower waist.Still haven't found joggers as the next long don't even meet his socks! I've just ordered 5 different brands for him to try on so will report back if any are long enough. There must be some as I've seen some taller teenagers around here wearing them. Nike and adidas tall are always sold out when I look.

PJ's he wears a next men's tall set which is short sleeved/shorts. He hasn't worn trouser pj's for over a year now.

DuckDuckGoosieGander · 03/11/2024 12:37

Thanks @isodontknow @Saisong he'll have to wear short pyjamas if I can't find any long. He tends to feel the cold and had asked if I could find long if possible. I'm even considering buying some T-shirt material and trying to make some!

My DH is 6'4" and slim. We have found next and m&s tall alright (order in to store).
Have just ordered from 2tall.com, designed for 6'4"+ slim.
I've no idea if the styles would be acceptable to a teenager though.

isodontknow · 08/11/2024 14:08

it's so annoying that joggers don't give a length!
Jack & jones - too short
only & sons - too short
Puma classics - too short
pull&Bear - too short
urban classics - too short
champion icons - just ok.

GoodGriefGordon · 08/11/2024 14:26

Jack wills good for jeans can get 28/34

next do tall pjs
