Have the days of "necessary" regular nails been and gone?
When I was young, a professional manicure was very much a luxury for a special occasion. Now I seem to know loads of people who see it as an everyday thing, if not a necessary expense, certainly not a luxury. My own scruffy nails are definitely an exception and lots of people have all year round nail art etc.
Obviously the technicians need to make a living and should be properly paid, but at what price do people start deciding they can manage without?
