Marmalade Pay and Go insurance

Could someone please explain how their black box pay and go insurance works and the steps you had to do when setting it up.

DS has it and has downloaded the app this week and made a few trips.
I was pretty sure me and DH who also drive it didn't have to download the app but DS says my trips aren't showing. which is a concern as I have to make over 50% of the trips.

Not sure if it makes any difference but DH is registered keeper and I am main driver. DH got a code to log into the app but is grumbling about it as he'd understood we didn't need to use the app. Marmalade is shut so can't phone till Monday none of the info that we've got or online really makes it clear.

Both your DS and you and / or your DH need the app. It needs to record the main drivers journeys to ensure they are doing at least 50% of them. It will rate your journeys the same as it will for your DS, but your rating has no impact on the insurance.

@usernamedifferent so we're supposed to pair it with the app each time we get in the car?!
And I have to have the battery above 10% and not touch the Sat nav while driving etc (I don't usually anyway)

Someone on someone else's thread said they never downloaded the app.

DS has just come downstairs to show me that he'd just opened his app to find it had finally updated and put my journeys on and had worked out the percentage of journeys he was doing!
