How can you open Facebook links if you don't have Facebook???Hmm

Fwiw, dp has said ever since I've known him that he doesn't have Facebook. Fair enough, some people don't. I've just sent a link through to WhatsApp (purely so I knew where it was) from a recipe that was on Facebook. He managed to open it.

I have menopausal anxiety, please help me calm down

I don't have FB and I can open links and see what it is.

Depends on the page settings I think.

If it's set to public then anyone can see it but if it's set to friends only, then only friends of that person can see it.

A bit of clarification now I've calmed down a bit. It's a public page, however, I've sent links before knowing he can't open them but I've opened them from the chat, if that makes sense. I have caught him out on little fibs before now so this would just be another one. To add to things, I have ptsd from a previous relationship and didn't want to jump to conclusions in this instance.

You can access certain Facebook links without having a Facebook account, provided the content is set to "Public" by the user or page. Simply clicking on the link should allow you to view such content. However, Facebook often prompts non-logged-in users to sign up or log in after limited browsing. To mitigate this, you can use an incognito or private browsing mode, which may extend the viewing time before such prompts appear. Additionally, third-party tools or services exist that can fetch and display public Facebook login content without requiring an account. Keep in mind that any content marked as private or restricted will remain inaccessible without proper login credentials.

Facebook Login Tutorial

Facebook is a social networking platform that facilitates online connections. To use FB features you need Facebook login. FB login is quite simple.

He's opened the link, or he's opened the WhatsApp message? He may have clicked the link and not been able to see the Facebook content, but whatsapp will still show 2 blue ticks.
