Am I a nag or is this really annoying

Brilliant parent, equal partner in so many ways, really the person I want on my life team but...

I find these things hard to ignore and when I mention them there is an eye roll and I am told I am being a nag:

  • drinking various family drinks out of the bottle/carton rather than using a glass *using metal spoons and forks on brand new non stick pans *not washing the backs of plates/pans even if they have been stacked on top of other plates or pans *leaving gum on the sides of plates /bedside tables *leaving empty cartons or boxes or packets in the cupboard or fridge so that it is not clear that the product has run out *leaving cups/glasses and baby bottles face up in the dishwasher so they fill with silty water *putting things the dishwasher has failed to clean back in the cupboard/drawers even though they need washing again and there is still food on them *everything always that we need being left in the car

These are typical but not an exhaustive list.

So as not to drip feed, partner is a woman and so am I.

Am I a nag or are these things basic adulting skills?

They're gross. Does your partner have bad eyesight or is the kitchen badly lit?

Because I had a housemate at uni who never washed up properly because she wouldn't wear her glasses. She literally couldn't see the flecks of food she was leaving still there on the pans etc

Surely it's illegal to be in a relationship with a 12 year old. Tell her grow the fuck up!!
