What would you do with 50 pounds?

Hi all!

My MIL kindly gave me 50 pounds as a gift and I was looking for some ideas to use it this weekend!

For context, my husband will be moving abroad on Sunday for work and won't be back home for a full year at least, next time we will see each other is probably going to be in a few months time.

I also have a toddler and am 8 months pregnant.

I was hesitating between:

A dinner at a steakhouse my husband and I have been eyeing up for a while but wouldnt be able to afford just yet.
We are already planning on eating out and spending the day together tomorrow but this would be a nice upgrade

Some outdoor baby clothes for the baby (she already has pajamas, baby grows, and the like)

Some summer clothes for our toddler

I don't know what else but I'm open to any suggestions!

Realistically it would just get chucked in my purse and absorbed on every day expenses. But if I was you I’d spend it on the meal.

Do something lovely with your husband.My husband has worked away in the past, but only for several months at a time. I really missed him and was so excited when he was on his way home, I felt like a teenager all over again 😋

I think you might need it for wine!

Save it for yourself when he’s away to treat yourself to a few luxuries because you’re going to need them.
