Would you use this tradesman?

Really struggled to get some quotes for a gutter replacement. Had a guy off checkatrade visit this afternoon, we agreed to go ahead but have not paid a deposit. Done a bit of research and it’s not listed as a company on companies house and no social media presence etc just the checkatrade page, would you go ahead or message to cancel?

Companies are only listed at Companies House if they are a Limited Company with directors and shareholders. Many small businesses won't appear as they are sole traders or partnerships. So a business could be called Anytown Gutters (for instance), but its actual business name would be 'Joe Bloggs Trading As Anytown Gutters'.

Absence from CoH wouldn't bother me, but no social media presence or website would be a bit odd.
