Discoloured towels

My nice white towel went in with something red and has come out a lovely delicate peach colour.

I kind of want white again. I tried a 90 degree cotton wash with Vanish whitener. No change.

Is there any point to bleaching it in the bath in cold water? Or something else tried and tested? Or give up and accept it is now pink 💗?

I don't know where you are but tomorrow is meant to be a bright sunny day in some places so put them out in the sun to be bleached.
