What was the most bizarre thing you have seen in somebody's home? (That they thought was normal)

Mine was my childhood best friends living room - we were never allowed in it or to even open the door. Was a small house so they had the sofa and tv crammed in the kitchen instead.

To this day I wonder what on earth was going on in there

An owl. Thought it was a stuffed one till it turned its head to glare at me.

A glass toilet cistern with fish in it, carefully designed so that the fish were safe when the toilet was flushed. I asked if the fish seemed to mind this, they said that the fish have lived longer than any others they'd had.
