Teen ds has gone out . Teen dd is chilling In her room . The 2 youngest are chilling. The house has a feel good vibe to it . So whilst it's feeling that way I'm going to have a tidy up afternoon

The weather has not been on my side. But the front garden is OK. Its all tidy now and I have some flowers our there . I do need to get some gravel. But that has to wait for now. Back garden is OK just a nkt of finishing off . I have moved my plastic shed to back of the garden. Cut wood for borders. I just need to de weed.

Today I'm just doing my bottom floor ie toilet area, kitchen , hall stairs, and living room . They are not overly bad . Definitely not for me anyway

Did you end up leaving the plants out the front at ground level or did you put the raised bed/planter in?

Yeah I did. It was not loads. Just the kitchen, hall, down stairs toilet, stairs, hall living room.

Garden wise at the front I have put flowers on the railings. And on the ground /soil I planted some plants/flowers put weed membrane on the top of the soil and around the plants. Now lm not sure if water can get to the roots. I want to put gravel there. I'm still thinking about if i want to do raised planters. I'm not sure still .

I have been debating with myself for the last 30mins if i should go to home base and get gravel. I would have to get a cab home. The bags are 18kg each I'm not sure how many a cab would take..

Also the wind is going to be at 40. Think that quite strong for gardening.

Well done for yesterday, it's more than I managed.

last thread I saw you posted a picture of the plants in the ground, but you were thinking you should have done the raised bed.

you also had the photos of the planter boxes and the railings, but were concerned they'd get broken/pinched!

my taxi mate would easily take 4, it's only the same weight at 4 suitcases. He's a gentleman too, he'd put them wherever you wanted them (as long as it's not in the attic 😂😂)

Look online though you might get some good deals on the gravel you want, delivered.

After all the 'heatwave' warnings, it's been kind if chilly & very windy here (SE) tomorrow is supposed to be nice though. We'll see 🙄🙄

yeah I have not moved Any further on with the garden. Yeah weather has been to windy here as well so I did nothing in the end.

Wicks will deliver the gravel for 8.00 pounds . So I'm just going to that. I will do that at the beginning of the week . So it's there ready for if I can snatch a gardening weather day.

I wanted to get a large raised planter but the ones I'm seeing are quite expensive I might just leave them ground level.

Only thing I done today is the dish washer and a chicken stew. Was motorvated till I realised weather was still crap.

yeah the weather was a disappointment considering all the hype!!

raised planters can be expensive. You need a willing mate with some spare wood!!

hopefully youll get some decent gardening weather in the week!!

We were forecast sunshine all day & warmer weather, so I'd been planning to go out.

sun rise, shined a while then hid behind grey clouds. Rained. Sun came out blazing so though I should get sorted. Had a shower, came back into bedroom & it was grey & raining. I'm staying home, washing is staying in basket & I'll go out for a walk around the lake if it looks better later.

Yeah it makes it hard to do things. Weather wise. I'm hoping to do a couple of things with the kids during the week. I will Just do washing today hoping I can hang it out. Dont want lt to blow away 🤣

Worth having a look on eBay, gumtree and free cycle for cheap garden planters and other bits and pieces.

I don't drive/have a car makes things really hard with gum tree /selling pages . Worth a look at the others though. Might look on amazon.

I don't know if i want to use standard cheap and cheerful gravel or the nicer white one . But its quite a bit more. I like the white one but im talking myself out of it as I type.

I think I should have gone with the white gravel
