What do you do with indoor potted bulb plants once they've flowered?

I've got some past it looking spring bulb flowers (little hyacinths maybe?) sitting on my table. What's the best thing to do with them? If I put them in a pot outside will it just be an empty pot till next spring?
Thanks!

I plant them in the garden or in a pot outside then plant bedding plants on top.

Oh thank you, so they can hide away under something else for now?

Yep, I plant them out.

Yes, just plant them. Some people do lasagna plant (layer different bulbs that flower at different times in the same pot or bed), so that something is always flowering throughout the spring/summer. But for now, just shove them in and enjoy next year. Personally, I might wait til it dries up a bit as it’s so wet in the ground at the moment, but you don’t have to.

Thank you all! Yes currently torrential rain, but will get them outside when/ if it ever stops!

Leave them in a sunny place till the leaves have died back so they are good and strong for next year. Then repot them in the autumn for next spring.
