Friend isn’t on mumsnet but posting on behalf
Her DS is 13 months. Great at walking and has always met physical milestones, but she’s worried
He does not:
Clap
Wave
Point
Follow a point
Smile if smiled at (or smile much at all)
Never babbled
No speech
In his own world - likes the TV, and household objects but not toys. Anything that spins captivates his interest for a long time, flashing lights, people’s watches, tele control
Does make eye contact but more of a prolonged stare than to get something
Not fussed if mum or dad leaves the room, doesn’t seem to notice at all
Doesn’t turn head to name (can hear fine, looks over if you start drumming your fingers etc)
Do you think this is normal or perhaps not?
