I have been with edf for duel fuel for 3 years. I submitted a reading on the 31st march and my account updated to say I was nearly £1,200 in credit. I am paying £220 a month direct debits.
I asked online for a partial refund at least as I don't believe I should be hugely in credit now were just out of winter. Then suddenly they debited my account with a bill for gas from October to December 23 that they said had previously been 'quarantined' as it looked 'unusual'. So 4 months later. They also said no to refund but they would review my direct debits.
I have just been through my billing history and it's about as clear as mud.
I am 100% sure that the confusing way they bill people is to make it difficult to scrutinise what we're paying.
Can anyone recommend an energy supplier that have good customer service with clear bills? I am sick of edf. And their customer service took a massive decrease during covid and never recovered.
