The “Stop Knife Crime” group chuggers

Except they’re not ordinary chuggers, are they? From everything I’ve read online they’re an organised magazine selling scam that descends on busy places to extract money from people while pretending to Stop Knife Crime.

Anyone else encountered them and are they just in London? I’ve seen them in loads of places.

Just to add they wear matching jackets and lanyards but the lanyards don’t have any info on them, it’s all for show.

Pretty shit, pretending to be an anti-knife crime charity when it's actually a for-profit magazine business that apparently rips off the sellers too.

I hate the way they stop you saying "are you against knife crime??" I mean who is going to say no to that.

Yes! This is them.

Today they were shouting at me (had headphones on) saying 'Miss! You dropped something!' and 'Miss! Your bag!' just to get me to stop. Outright lying.

It feels really predatory because they're in a big group. I actually felt sorry for the two other sets of normal chuggers as they were completely outmanned.
