I'm not a regular at any bingo night.
Went to a charity bingo tonight,
Is it normal or right for the caller to also play.

Hmm, well I definitely think it's not good form to be calling and playing. So the caller was checking their own winning cards? My reaction would kind of depend though on whether this is a professionally-organised charity bingo session with a paid caller etc or something that someone's mum organised to help fund a brownies trip to summer camp, for instance?

It's a regular person just in different clubs/pubs to raise money for an item for families.
She isn't paid as far as I know.
It just seemed strange or clever because I couldn't do both at the same time.
