How much would you budget - new roof, kitchen and bathroom?

I know every property is different, but what would everyone think was a reasonable pot to throw at a new roof, kitchen and bathroom? If we have this work done unlikely to move (late 50s) unless old age predicts.

Property was a two bungalow with dormers (two beds upstairs), average family kitchen and bathroom.

We've got a figure in mind, but don't know if that's realistic.

We spent 25K on a new kitchen and bathroom 6 years ago then 6K on a new roof 4 years ago - small terraced house.

We've been getting quotes for a new roof. They range between £16k and £35K.

Maybe 40k? It will vary a fair bit depending on the size of the rooms and roof, and of course the type of fittings etc that you want for the kitchen and bathroom.

I would say start at 30k and go upwards if you want anything more than a basic kitchen and bathroom.

I spent about £20k on a kitchen 3/4 years ago but I didn’t have to pay for fitting so that would have added a few £k on top.

I had my en suite renewed last year (and it’s not big at all!) and that came to about £8k with fitting. All from the high street so nothing fancy.

No idea on roofs but I’d guess £20k or so? So maybe £50k in total?

I've done some renovations recently, Chalet style house with no dormers roof cost just under £10k - with dormers your will be a bit more than that.
for a new Kitchen I paid £6k on the units plus about £3k to fit. Bathroom probably about £5k. Obvs depends if you can do any of the work yourselves and level of finish....

If you are putting insulation at the same time some of the work may be eligible to be VAT free.

We spent £20,000 on new roof for our dormer bungalow but that was 10 years ago, before that 15k on small kitchen and 5k on small bathroom...

£20k for kitchen of you budget well (also depends if you are replacing the white goods), £7-10k for bathroom, who knows about roof but up to £20-30k depending?
I'm sure some one will say £25 all in but not if you want something decent quality done by trades who care about their workmanship.

Thanks for your replies. Ouch - the roof was an unknown. I'd calculated how much we spend on kitchen and bathroom around 1994-1997 in previous house and allowed for inflation, which comes to £15,000 in today's month so things have seriously gone up.

Roof has to be done right, but hopefully we can cut back a bit on bathroom and kitchen.

I'm confused, you are late 50's or the house is???
Which part of the country? Bog standard roof tiles or handmade/period style?
Having just renovated a derelict property- assume double what you think it will be!

Average cost for fitting a bathroom is £5k, fitting maybe 3k so £9k in total. You could probably get a kitchen for £15k.

Just thought I'd update my thread in case anyone is interested is prices.

Got the roof done for £10,750 (working around main dormer, ended up having to remove velux window, re-roof and re-clad small dormer at front and they cleaned the cladding on main dormer).

Bathroom is coming in £6,300 but we've got to add tiles and flooring but we're lucky and just happen to like some flooring and tiles which aren't too expensive. Fitters are very busy around here, so have an eight month wait.

We'll looked into a kitchen early next year. Our kitchen in old house cost twice as much as our bathroom, it's roughly like for like here as well, so hoping we'd get it done for £12,000 but in reality it'll be £14-15k.
