Do you prefer a bath or a shower?

I much prefer a bath. It doesn’t help that my shower is dodgy and runs hot then cold then hot then cold. I would still choose a bath over a shower though. Which do you prefer?

It’s a chilly evening and I’m off for a soak in the bath. A nice hot bath warms me up to the point where I don’t have to put the heating on, as well.

I used to love a bath. Having said that, we moved and I keep slipping down our bath so have only had a bath around three times in ten years (property newly refurbished). Moving forward, I'm not sure I want to give up the time to lounging around in a bath, even when I'm ill - I just need to freshen up and be clean.

I choose a shower for everyday, getting clean and hair washing.

But I have endometriosis and adenomyosis and a LOVE a pain for pain relief! I get in as it's running and it's mostly hot water, probably not good for me. I couldn't be without it.

Did our bathroom up a few years ago and did away with the bath so now it's a shower room. I can't be arsed waiting for a bath to fill then sitting around in the water getting bored.
In and out of the shower in 5 minutes - no contest

I'm in the bath right now! Have one every evening - it's what I look forward to all day!

Shower in the morning, bath in the evening. I love relaxing in the bath and I’m usually in there for 2 hours.

Bath for sleep, shaving legs and sore muscles
Shower for everything else

Definitely showers. I don’t want to marinate in soapy water. 😁

Bath, I pretty much never have a shower.

Shower probably because it is easier to not wallow taking up loads of time.

I have lived in my place 5 years and still not used the bath once.

Can anyone beat that.

Me too, the fantasy of a long hot, relaxing bath with scented candles and a glass of wine never lives up to the reality!

On the odd occasion I have one I'm bored after 5 mins. It's also never the right temperature, too hot or too cold lots of faffing adding water. Then it's not comfortable lying at a weird angle not able to drink from my glass, lying there, boobs bobbing out out of the bubbles and getting cold, trying to read a book in bad light without dropping it in the water or the pages getting soggy as you turn them. God forbid using a Kindle it would drown in first 2 minutes....

Also I have electric hot water and baths cost an absolute fortune.

Depends on my mood but in balance much prefer a bath

Love a bath as a leisure activity and can stay in for hours with a book. I shower every morning but see that as a functional activity to clean myself.

Well I’ve lived in my house 6 years and not once used the shower, so yes

my friend said it was nice

Both have different uses!

Showers in the morning and in summer, baths in the winter and at night. I love a candle lit bath in the dark when it's raining outside but nothing beats a shower on a hot day, especially when on holiday after being at the pool all day.

I have a bath almost every morning. Turn on the taps, pop down and make a cup of tea, back into the bathroom to a perfectly run bath. 15 mins of podcast/audio book and I’m ready for the day.
