I'm on the back of dealing with nits and keep finding things like this in my bed.. I honestly feel like I'm going mad!!
I've changed all the sheets and have done nit treatments countless times.
We don't have bed bugs so what is this!?? Or do I still have a nit issue??!! Help!!!!

Are you nit combing after treatments? If not you defo need to do that.

Do the treatment, nit comb immediately after, then nit comb every other day. Another nit treatment on day 7, nit comb again every other day. It's worth investing in a nitty gritty comb rather than using the ones that come with the box of treatment.

Do not share hair brushes. After each hair brush soak your brushes in boiled water and tea tree oil. Make sure you have pulled all the hair out of the brush before soaking.

Depending on the age of your DC straightening hair with straighteners helps kill the eggs.

My hairdressers say to slather your hair in conditioner after washing and brush throughly with the nut comb - do this every couple of days and honestly it really worked. Never bothered with nit chemicals again

Oh and if you tie your hair or DC's up with hair ties, soak them with the hairbrushes and leave to dry for several days. Use a fresh hair tie each day for everyone who uses them until you are certain that everyone is clear. Just one hair on a hair tie used the same or next day can cause a new infestation.

Unfortunately if your DC has a friend with nits you are in a never ending cycle. Make sure DC's hair is tied up and plaited if long enough every school day.
