Hi Mn, I am a sahm looking to get back into work in a few years. I had a career in Finance with 2 degrees, but not strong on the Accounting side. Finance/ Accounting is a field that I would most likely go back into so that's why I am thinking of AAT.
I had a look at ACCA and not really looking to do a whole other degree.
I have young dc, and financially ok to take the next 18-24m to get going with the exams. Would this be a good idea, or does this need to be done within a working environment. It would obviously be best to be working and studying but I have a 10mo and would like to be home with her till she needs to start nursery.
It also does seem a bit like I am going backwards because I have two Finance degrees, but I have also been out of work for 10 years so I am quite rusty.
I am not looking to relaunch into some managerial or intense career again so another reason not to go ACCA route.
Any advice please?
