Is anywhere doing reduced Easter eggs?

All of the supermarkets near me had only a few white chocolate eggs left by Saturday, I doubt there will be any to reduce.

cheesychipsontheoche · 02/04/2024 08:05

Amazon were doing 48 Creme eggs for less than £12 delivered yesterday

ZipZapZoom · 02/04/2024 08:05

In the past few years I've only ever seen discounted eggs in local corner shops never in supermarkets or bigger stores like B&M.

They seem to have got much better at managing their stock and normally it's pretty much all gone before Easter so no need to reduce anything.

Freysimo · 02/04/2024 08:05

That's disappointing, I was hoping for a dark chocolate one when I go to Tesco. There were lots half price last year, especially the Lindt bunnies.

Timetochangenow · 02/04/2024 08:08

Our Asda had a fair few half price yesterday, seemed to be crates of the same type so maybe not put out in time.

Sk8erboi · 02/04/2024 08:09

None near me, they all sold out by Saturday.

Nottherealmama · 02/04/2024 08:12

In my local Asda there were only a few of the "free from" eggs and a couple of the big Lindt eggs but they weren't reduced. All sold out in other shops.

Birchvalley · 02/04/2024 08:14

There was a ton of reduced eggs in my local Sainsburys yesterday

Wishingwinteraway · 02/04/2024 08:15

I went to a big sainsburys yesterday so many reduced eggs about 3 big displays all half price cuts

Magicisuponus · 02/04/2024 08:15

Loads of reduced eggs at a local Sainsbury’s petrol station yesterday

RoseMoose · 02/04/2024 08:18

What was left in Tesco was still full price yesterday.
When I was a kid they were always reduced - we used to get our egg on the Tuesday because we knew if we waited we could have a cadburys one when they were reduced. Doesn't seem to happen anymore.

alwaysatthebusstop · 02/04/2024 08:29

I got a load reduced in Sainsbury's yesterday 😊 all half price. My partner has rushed to Tesco to get some for family visiting only to find they were still full price! The other supermarkets has removed any trace of Easter when I went looking on Sunday!

musthorse · 02/04/2024 08:37

We were in a big Sainsbury's yesterday and literally nothing!

notapizzaeater · 02/04/2024 08:39

Obv depends where you are, none to be seen around here - shelves bare on Saturday afternoon,

Grimchmas · 02/04/2024 08:41

Big tesco on Saturday didn't even have any mini eggs left, only large Lindt easter eggs at £12 a pop. I had to go to the little tesco, which had loads of the mini ones in all sorts of varieties.

Edited to add: No easter lines reduced yesterday in my nearest BP M&S.

MargotMoon · 02/04/2024 09:42

Bit of a stupid post, really! Obviously it depends where you are and I didn't say but sounds like it might be worth checking a few places when I go out later. Thanks all.

All the Easter themed stuff in Hotel Chocolat is half price but their stuff is more expensive to start with.

ImCamembertTheBigCheese · 02/04/2024 11:31

None round our way. As pp said some supermarkets are much better at stock levels than they used to be.

I remember chatting to a sales assistant in a department store and he was saying they often get people coming in on the 23rd or 24th of December looking for reduced Christmas decorations and lights etc. They are disappointed as the Christmas shop is almost nonexistent by that time.

AreThereSomewhereIslands · 02/04/2024 11:43

If you've got a One-Stop branch near you, their left-over 5-packs of Creme Eggs (regular and mixed milk choc/white choc/caramel varieties) have been reduced to 90p today!

Galwaygirl · 02/04/2024 11:46

Lidl, this morning, 50% off everything

GasPanic · 02/04/2024 11:46

They go pretty quickly these days because lots of people wait around for them.

musthorse · 02/04/2024 16:51

Hotel Chocolat 50% off

BirthdayRainbow · 02/04/2024 16:51

Asda. They had loads.

Jennalong · 02/04/2024 16:55

Just came back from my local Sainsbury's , and they had them for 50% off.

Unless you are buying for a belated Easter present , why not just buy chocolate ?
More chocolate for cheaper !

JaneSeymourTheOnlyOneHeTrulyLoved · 02/04/2024 17:08

Waitrose had massive KitKat ones for £6 and Marble Dairymilk for £5 so they were both half price I think but everything else was full price still.

I went to Hotel Chocolat as I’d been holding out for the Tipsy egg and got one luckily and some bunnies. Their champagne egg last year was amazing.
