We can be mortgage free in 5 years. Moving to a similar house in a quieter area could increase mortgage term by further 8-10 years. We are both 40.

B)Have you done it? Any regrets? Compromises?
Our current home is on a busy road and we have decorated/ improved it over the years. We are within walking distance to school/ bus stop no school run.
Probably similar to asking how long is a piece of string but just curious. DH and I have been looking on rightmove but not viewed any properties in RL.
