Smelly feet - why now when never before?

I've never had smelly feet. The last few months I've had smelly feet. I wash them, dry them, wear socks with trainers etc. I don't know what to do about it as I've become so conscious of people being able to smell them at work/friends/etc.

Any cures out there? They smell sour 🤮

Not smelly feet but going through peri made me more aware that I was producing more body odour, settled down now I’m through meno fortunately.

Soak your socks in a nappy soak, like Napisan or Oxyclean or whatever your local version is called. It will kill the nasty foot stink bacteria in your socks.

Talk to a pharmacist, you can buy stuff over the counter to help.

Have you been wearing any new shoes? Maybe the lining is different to what you are used to. Or have you not worn socks? Summer shoes with fabric/synthetic inner soles always end up smelly for me.

I always wear socks! And it doesn't matter which shoes I wear.

I will soak all my socks and trainers in an anti bac solution and clean the other ones.

I am 36, is that peri age?

-Have you tried airing out your shoes and rotating wears so they have to.e to totally dry out

• are you washing your feet everyday?
• Have you checked your feet for potential infection? Could be something difficult to spot like toenail fungus, or athlete's foot?
• do you scrub your feet a couple of times a week with a pumice stone/brush to remove excess dry skin- bacteria can flourish in cracked heels for example
• have you tried using bar soap rather than shower gel?
• are you wearing natural fibre socks- polyester socks won't help

Peri menopause symptoms can present at your age (not saying that this is the case for you though)
