Hey all
I seem to have either more than the usual or an identified infestation of these spiders in my house.
please tell me what they are and some tips to keep them away.

Just a false widow.

Do a bit of vacuuming and don't poke at them when you're relocating them with a glass and bit of cardboard.

@NeverDropYourMooncup Ok thank you. I suspected it may be a type of widow.

How do you feel about a fly?
moth?
those horrid flying things with long spindly legs?

your new housemate will take care of all of them!
all they ask for is a quiet corner of your house!

Indorex the flea spray seems to kill every single thing it comes into contact with. I use it twice a year and we don't ever get them. Can't stand spiders too scared to relocate them outside. There's enough of them and enough people in the world to keep them safe. Me I'm not one of them. Get the spray.

It’s excellent stuff. I spray it around all the skirting boards of my house and doorways a couple times a year.

TeaPleaseX · 31/03/2024 21:08

@EatCrow that's what we do it's really good.

Floralnomad · 31/03/2024 21:11

We have fly screens on our windows and doors , haven’t had a fly/ midge indoors for 2 years and have not had any spiders presumably because there is nothing to eat .

SunshinDay · 31/03/2024 21:35

Op they colonise very fast indeed.

Kill them. Watch out fir tiny ones as well

SunshinDay · 31/03/2024 21:39

@TeaPleaseX have you actually seen dead bodies or just don't see them at all?

TeaPleaseX · 31/03/2024 21:51

@SunshinDay Dead ones crumpled up here and there but I don't think they are even coming in now.

SunshinDay · 31/03/2024 21:52

That's a relief.
