If you had this qualification, how would you turn it into a side hustle?

I’m newly qualified in tutoring sign language for babies and toddlers.

I am also 7 weeks pregnant and thinking ahead to how I might be able to earn some extra cash, from maternity leave and beyond. If I can go back to work part time I would like to, so any little helps.

I’ve been trying to think about how best to do it

I could:

• Set up my own in person baby classes (might not be much interest as know there are lots of different classes out there already)
• Do it online over Zoom, in little 45-60 min sessions
• Go into nurseries and early years settings to teach children / staff there

What would you do? I know I’ll need PLI and materials to set up with whatever I choose, but just mulling it all over.

A or C. I wouldn’t use an online service for little ones.

I would do a combination of all 3 & see how each aspect goes.

DD and I went to Sing & Sign when she was about 1, it was great. Met some friends through that class. Loved it.

I'd go with all three with A and C making up the bulk of your business. You could also look at running an additional class at a time when other classes aren't on, for example on a Saturday or Sunday morning, aimed at those who can't make it to classes during week days.

A and C. Parents with non verbal children may be interested (I don't have experience, just thinking of options for you)

I’d try all three and see what takes off, sounds like a great idea.

Set up a tiktok account were you talk about it, then sell online courses.
