How many Easter eggs/treats did your dc receive?

I'm nosy! Mine got one medium one from us and a small one from their nan and grandad. They had a few packets of sweets for a hunt this morning as well. I'm not judging, just interested in what goes on in other people's families!

I used to get 4 or 5 as a kid and i swear they used to be bigger.

A small one from nursery and a small one from us. They shared one with us this morning and will probably have the other tomo. We told the grandparents not to bother as they’re only 3 so they don’t really understand the concept.

BouleDeSuif · 31/03/2024 16:29

One from my mum, a small one from our neighbour, creme egg from an egg hunt in the park and some little ones from Lidl that I hid around the flat for when she got up. There was 26 of those but I'm afraid they didn't all make it through the night.

Rainydays332 · 31/03/2024 16:29

A large, medium and small one from us and then treat bags from a couple of other relatives. They used to get more but are older teens now.

They have one each and I buy some mini eggs and small bunnies to share.

NameChange30 · 31/03/2024 16:31

I used to get a LOT as a child from various family.

My kids got:
a medium size egg and a few small eggs from me (we did a hunt in the garden)
a large egg from my mum
a medium egg from my sister
a small egg from my grandma
...and we are seeing my dad and stepmum tomorrow, I think they might give the kids some chocolate.
That's more than plenty IMO! They are 7 and 3... it's definitely too much chocolate for my 3yo who eats very little nutritious food Confused

Dewdilly · 31/03/2024 16:31

A chocolate bar each. No Easter eggs.

BingoMarieHeeler · 31/03/2024 16:32

Yes I swear we used to get LOADS. Although my mum is 1 of 5 and me and DH are both 1 of 2 so that probably goes some way to explain it - fewer people to buy eggs for you! And eggs came with mugs and other cool stuff back in the day.

DSs got an egg from us, an egg from grandparents and a bunny from aunt. And Easter egg hunt bits (probably about 15 crème egg sized eggs)

MAY get from the other side of the family (grandad and aunt&uncle) tomorrow but I highly doubt it.

Nobody bought me one! 😢 I bought one for DH but think it was accidentally vegan, and my mum got me and DH one to share. It’s my own fault though as I’m constantly on a failing ‘health kick’ so no one knows what to do for the best 😂

gaggiagirl · 31/03/2024 16:38

3 children but we are from a large family and everyone wants to get the DC an egg.
They had 8 eggs each plus 2 bags of Easter sweets/mini eggs each.
They will last a good while. Sometimes all 3 will share one instead of having a desert in the evening.

RandomUsernameHere · 31/03/2024 18:10

3 large eggs/bunnies each so far, plus some smaller ones from football and tennis clubs and a mini golf thing we did.

SpongeBabeSquarePants · 31/03/2024 18:27

I'm scaling back on it all this year as they get so many sweets, too many to eat.

This Easter it was just one egg from home, one from school - that's it - and it was plenty. Last year there were 5 or 6.

I plan to do the same for Halloween and Christmas. There's no need to be eating it for weeks afterwards.

Kneeslikethese · 31/03/2024 18:30

One small one each from us.
No family so that's it. They're teenagers though and weren't bothered about getting chocolate.

KeepingItUnderTheRadar · 31/03/2024 18:32

129 between 3 of them. Seriously.

However...123 of those were the very very small egg hunt eggs 😂...probably the whole lot is only the same size as a couple of large eggs.

Then in addition to the tiny ones they had one large and one medium egg each.

CatCatCatCatCatCat · 31/03/2024 18:33

It's just me as no family, not even sure how many I bought I lost count but I have 4 children, think around 8 medium ones each, and a few small ones.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 31/03/2024 18:33

She got on from me, one from her dad, one from my brother and one from my mum. DH and I also got each other one plus my brother and mum got us both one each plus a little box of cream eggs. She got one from wraparound but that was ages ago. Also a bunny from Aldi and a bar of chocolate. When I was her age I had about 8 off my parents!

WildBear · 31/03/2024 18:34

3 little eggs each for 7 and 3 yo old. One from us, the other two from neighbours. All Cadbury thank god... Nestle and Aldi/Lidl taste like shit imo.

TheTwirlyPoos · 31/03/2024 18:35

Each of them got
3 medium ones, 2 bunnies, 10 small hollow ones. They will be being rationed!

Blanketpolicy · 31/03/2024 18:35

None. He's 20 so hasn't had an egg (or anything else) for years!

FuzzyPenguin · 31/03/2024 18:37

4, One from us, one from each set of grandparents and one from close family friends. He also had a couple of cream eggs from the vicar at church this morning but I am not sure we should admit that after reading another thread.

ChicagoBears · 31/03/2024 18:38

We got DC 1 large egg each and a Lindt bunny but our bloody relatives went mad and now they have 10 eggs each. Waaaaayyy too much, we’ll melt tbem down and make Easter nests and distribute throughout the neighbourhood.

NameChange30 · 31/03/2024 18:40

Oh and I ended up with a spare Easter egg that I had originally bought for DC but a few days ago he announced he doesn't like that chocolate so I got him a different one instead.... I should probably donate it to the food bank but will no doubt end up eating it myself Blush

MumMumMumMumMumMumMum · 31/03/2024 18:40

One from grandparent, one from auntie, one set of kinnerton little animals from us, one little egg from Easter bunny and one little net of bunnies (think chocolate coins style) put in plastic eggs for Easter egg hunt

familyissues12345 · 31/03/2024 18:41

A large one, a small/medium and a bag of something like mini eggs. Ours have rarely ever received eggs from other people in the family, it's just not what we do.

When they were little, we used to buy them a couple of books each as well

Kalevala · 31/03/2024 18:41

A large 200g boxed egg, a pack of creme eggs, and another large boxed egg from family.

The medium ones (100g) are the same size that I remember, like a buttons egg or freddo faces or mini eggs one? We used to get one or two from family and chose a large one from mum and dad.

Grumblebees · 31/03/2024 18:41

Not very many because a flipping fox raided the garden overnight night and ate about 80 foil wrapped eggs or mini-egg filled plastic ones 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ never so much seen a cat in our garden in the four years we've lived here and have left the same outside in previous years with no issues. They got one medium egg from grandparents and one from a trail we did yesterday, so the Easter bunny's haul was meant to be the bulk 😭

Fridaysgirl17 · 31/03/2024 18:42

My 2 got 8 in total, 2 large, 3 medium, 3 smaller ones, & I did a little Easter basket which had a cup each a book, mystery bag & a few sweets that are their favourite krabby patty's, & Reeses but only 3/4 each. That lot is between me, my dad,2 brothers & their dad sent some home with them, my younger son (4) isn't huge for chocolate honestly so his will probably be used in some baking & my oldest (7) will be rationed
